One day I'll post some new work...

Sadly, today isnt that day :( haha, but I still plan on keeping this blog active..just gotta finish something worth posting ;) I'm sure ill post something soon(maybe in another 6months time? :P)

Back on the bucking horse~~

Its been just over 2 months since my last post, my excuse A, been lazy B, been busy or C, combination of both. *locks in option C*

I wish I could simply say "oh wow, Ive totally just been playing this awesome game which has taken up all my spare time" but the truth be told, ive spent little to none of my spare time even on games! I guess its a combination of things which have taken up all my spare time (work/traveling/renovations/other interests)

My main problem I have is the question I keep asking myself "I have crap all free time, what would be the best "bang for my buck" way of spending it". Problem with that way of thinking, is well...I spend to much of my time just thinking of all the possibility's, and crap all time pursuing any of them.

Its the whole "spreading the butter too thin over the toast" to the point where you can barely taste it :D. There are so many areas I want/need to improve in that I tend to spend so little time in each area, I might aswell not have bothered.

Anyways, enough late night blabbering. I did have a little play around tonight, just 30-45mins in zbrush from a cube. Good luck figuring out what he/it is, cuz I havent a clue :P

What I'm working on

Here's something new I'm cooking up. A drapery study :). As you can see its still early on, but I thought Ill post this one in a WIP fashion. Lets hope I finish it~~

Weekend work~

Here's something I made last weekend, but forgot to post it ^^;. I am quiet pleased with how this turned out considering its from the top of the head and not in a style I normally do.

Ill be experimenting with a few different styles as I keep doing quick speed sculpts here and there.

My Motive

I thought I would post to say why this blog came about, and what I hope to achieve by having said blog in place.

Its true that a blog is the quickest/easiest way of creating some sort of personal web page. So you could assume I'm just to lazy to put any effort into creating a web site :P but really, a blog is a great way of seeing some sort of progression. If your posting work at some sort of decent pace, then looking a year back you should quickly see how much you have improved (I would hope so >.>;)

So I'm going to use my blog as a tool, to look back at where I once walked, so I know where my next step should be (I don't even know if that made any sense, but it sounded cool in my head :P).

So why the title "Think it Do it Post it"? well, broken down thats what I need to do more of :D. Currently I do ALOT of thinking, very little Doing and well, Posting was non existent until this blog came to be :D. I'm hoping to change that, and delegate my time more evenly between the 3.

I hope by doing just that, I will improve in the areas that I feel, need more improvement. By “Doing” I am practicing, gain experience and knowledge and hopefully producing some decent work (hey I'm a hopeful dude). By “Posting: my work for others to see if they so feel like it, then I'm improving my network of friends and become more active within the community(again,ever so hopeful).

So, how does “Thinking” improve when I will technically be spending less time doing said thing? Well if less time is available for an activity then you usually a, speed up b, find a more efficient way c, cut corners or d, all of the above (they are all kinda linked anyway >.>).

That's the plan, It sounds all good in my head, but we will have to see how it works in practice.

Lets start this off with a bang...or at least a small spark

First post of the blog yay :D. Ive decided to post my latest "finished" piece of work.
I sculpted this bust in my limited free time over a period of about 3 weeks. Main goal was to show someone or something with a lot of "Character" I got a little lazy near the end so theirs a few rough bits showing.
Done within Zbrush starting from cubes~
